Run for Recovery 5K! Sign up Now.



September is National Recovery Month, something very near and dear to our hearts at Aid in Recovery.

In honor of this, we are pleased to invite you to celebrate sobriety with family and friends at our inaugural Run for Recovery 5K.

This chip-timed 5K run will be held along the beautiful trails of Indian Riverside Park. Come for the challenge or just for a scenic walk. There will be water stations along the route, as well as cheering fans throughout the course.

If you are up for a challenge, just want to support a great cause, or simply wish to enjoy the day with good friends and family, this event is appropriate for you.

My name is Joel M., I have been sober for 20 months after my relapse. Before that I was sober for 18 months. My story starts at the age of 13. I tried my first bowl of weed and my first cigarette. I was really into sports so I didn’t smoke either very often. It went that way until I was 15, and then I started smoking pot almost every day. I was hanging out with the wrong crowd.
